Establishing food and medicine sovereignty with your family

We’re here to help your Stories culminate into action through your family’s very own cultural garden which houses the food and medicinal plants that resonate best with you.

  • Get your soil tested.

Before we begin planting your garden, we want to make sure your soil quality is good so that we know your food and medicine will grow strong and keep you healthy. If quality is low, we will strengthen soil using organic nutrients and powerful mycelium before transitioning into planting. Click the button below to get your soil tested ASAP!

  • Design Your Garden.

Once your soil is ready for planting, we will work with you on your design. Voices of the Land specializes in polyculture ethnogardens that house a combination of non-invasive food plants, non-invasive culturally medicinal plants, and climate-friendly plants native to Colorado. If you desire a plant that is invasive to your region’s ecology, we will provide seeds and work with you to grow these indoors. Our volunteers are ready to plant all growing season so reach out below to get started!

  • Harvest Time.

Our mission of connecting BIPOC families to the Land and each other leads us to another moment that is ubiquitous to all our cultures; Harvest time. Join us in mid-October for all Voices of the Land families to come together to share meals and medicinal recipes with plant ingredients that come directly from your gardens. Here we will also share willing families’ mini-documentaries to foster that beautiful sense of community. RSVP for Harvest Time down below!
